Back yards often have picnic tables, benches, lawn furniture, and other seating arrangements. Furniture that sat outside obviously had to be weather resistant except for furniture that sat in deep porches. Backyard furniture would rarely be mistaken for indoor furniture.
Modelers love the tire swing, but I remember the regular swing from the mid-'50's. It was just a single plank, a 2 x 6 or so maybe a foot long, supported by a rope at each end. (Contemporary swings are made of softer
