- RS-880 Interlocking Tower - Alexander said
this was based on the B&O's
tower at the tiny town of Wellsboro, IN (population
approximately 250). The junction itself was
a maze of tracks, as the B&O crossed the C&O and Grand
Trunk. The tower
was built in 1902 and was retired in 1957. It
was said to have had 28-lever interlocking
plant and saw 20 to 40 trains a day.
