• Bridge Dept. tool car no. 35047 apparently was rebuilt from an open platform combine (with the cupola probably added when it was converted to MOW service). Bill Mischler added a note to the photo that "Rensselaer & Saratoga" lettering was showing through the paint, which would make this car date to pre-1870.
