- Somewhere I got it stuck in my head this was
the YMCA, not the YWCA.
- The YWCA was in a mansard-roofed building on the corner of
Mohawk and Pine, still so listed in the '49 and '53 City Directories.
At some point, the Cohoes YWCA merged in with the Troy
YWCA.
We are modeling the rear and north side of the building.- [Sanborn map c. 1925.]
- A section gang poses on the Pine Street crossing just north of the depot. (We told
you steam-era railroading was labor intensive!) Note the fourth church in
the background, and just beyond that, the steeple of the fifth. The mansard roofed
building was the YWCA.
