- The D&H's USRA hoppers were originally in the 44000-44999 series, 1,000 cars,
later renumbered
3221-4200. There were 667 hoppers in 1949
(most of the missing cars in '49 had been rebuilt to panel-side cars).
The D&H hoppers used Andrews trucks. There were 855
regular hoppers and 109 panel side cars
