In this section, I'm concentrating on color examples from steam days. Post-steam weathering is different and there are lots of color photos available, including ones you can take yourself. The Soph Marty photos are post-steam, but I'm including cars that date back to steam era.
General Freight Cars
- This Jack Delano photo was also seen on the cover
of the May '92 Mainline Modeler. One of the things to note
about this is that many of the cars seem very dirty but with
stark white lettering.
