These models represent 11,000 composite cars built between 1942 and '45. This is basically the same prototype (obviously greatly refined, including separate grabs) as the Athearn composite twin.This car design did not exist before '42, although there were a scattering of composite twins that at first glance might seem the same. As the supply of sheet steel increased toward the end of the War, basically no more cars of this type were
