Introduction
The lawn mower was invented by an unnamed Englishman in the 1830's, but not in general production in this country until the 1870's. Following this, there was sudden increase in lawn games, such as tennis, badminton and croquet.
In the Jan. '41 Pencil Points, there was a set of dimensions of typical playground fields for such games as archery, badminton, and baseball (and even "clock golf" - what is that?).
