I've listed parts in this section separate from general freight car parts for two reasons. One is that these parts, such as doors, are unique to box cars, or used mainly on box cars, unlike, say, the Central Valley underframe. The second is that the parts are so much our standard (like the Tichy roof walk), it is worth repeating. Ladders and grabs are discussed in the general parts chapter.
