- On the back of my scale rule, at the
zero mark, I superglue a small piece of Evergreen 1x2. This
acts a stop so that I can hook the rule on the
edge of a piece of material. The strip is thin
enough it doesn't interfere much if I need to
lay down the ruler flat to use as a straightedge.
(Then another club member, trying to be helpful,
scrapes off this 1x2, thinking it was glued on by
mistake.)
